Ecommerce SEO, inside a Lumos engagement
Search, treated as a revenue channel — not a ranking report.
Most ecommerce SEO work falls into one of two failure modes. Either it's too technical to influence sales — endless crawl budget audits that never touch the product pages that pay the bills. Or it's too generic to influence rankings — blog content that ranks for queries nobody searches when they want to buy.
We do neither. Inside a Lumos engagement, SEO is a revenue surface. We start with the pages that already sit close to positions 4–12 with commercial intent, fix what's blocking them, and report on what reached the till.
What's inside the surface
- Technical audit and prioritised crawl/index fixes
- Category and collection architecture rebuilds where they're losing money
- Product page SEO that aligns to actual purchase queries, not search volume
- Internal linking strategy that distributes authority where it earns
- Schema markup for product, review, FAQ, and breadcrumb
- Content for the queries that pay — buyer-stage, comparison, problem-search
- Measurement that ties organic visits to revenue per visitor and conversion lift
What we don't do as a public SEO service: local SEO for Manchester and Norfolk clients sits inside the engagement, but we don't lead with local. We're a national D2C practice. Local optimisation happens where it serves a specific client.
Reporting
You get one monthly report. It names what we did, what it cost in time, and what changed in revenue. If the answer to the last question is "not much," we tell you and recommend a change in approach.
